Keeping Reflexology Accessible

This past Saturday, June 26, I was delighted to see reflexology colleagues’ familiar, friendly faces via Zoom during an online gathering of World Reflexology Foundation volunteers. I met many of these talented, like-minded reflexologists in California in 2018, when I first joined the World Reflexology Foundation and was trained to offer its self-help and family-help reflexology workshops. During the shutdowns caused by the COVID-19 pandemic over the last 15 months, the Foundation has had to adapt to not being able to offer in-person workshops. Workshops shifted to virtual, and while this will continue, I am looking forward to offering World Reflexology Foundation Self-help Workshops again here in my home state of Vermont as well as finding other creative ways to make the benefits of reflexology available and affordable for as many people as possible.

Why the World Reflexology Foundation?

The main reason I decided to become a volunteer trainer is because I strongly resonated with the World Reflexology Foundation’s mission to help empower people worldwide through the healthful benefits of reflexology. Everyone deserves the right to relaxation, and should have access to simple techniques to help themselves and their loved ones, regardless of income. Offering World Reflexology Foundation workshops provides a way for me to share these powerful techniques with my community so that anyone who is interested can learn self-help reflexology in a welcoming environment. Online Sessions

While the reflexology studio in Richmond is fully open for in-person appointments, I will continue to offer online self-care sessions. This allows you to access  the benefits of reflexology at a discounted rate (compared to in-person sessions) from the comfort of your own home. Just as with an in-person session, we will review your health history and goals. Using this information, we will work together to develop a personalized reflexology self-care program and you will receive a video recording reviewing the information that was covered during the session. If the office is not conveniently located, you are dealing with health concerns that make it difficult to be at in-person appointments, or you are interested in learning simple self-care techniques that can be used anytime with no special equipment, online sessions provide an excellent option for accessing reflexology affordably.

Reflexology Membership

Many clients notice the positive effects of regularly receiving reflexology, or of receiving more frequent reflexology sessions when they are dealing with an acute issue such as a plantar fasciitis flare up or a recent injury. Membership allows for more frequent reflexology sessions at a discounted rate so you can more affordably commit to your own health in a way that works for you.
